Sharing is a social act before it is a marketing one. People pass things along because of what it says about them, not because of what it says about you. Every campaign that travels has given the audience something to borrow: a joke, an opinion, a piece of status, a feeling worth attaching their name to.

Start with the borrow, not the message

Before writing a line of copy, answer one question: what does someone gain by putting this in front of their own audience? If the honest answer is nothing, no amount of paid support will fix the mechanics.

  • Give people a stance they already hold but have not articulated well.
  • Make the visual do the work, so it survives being reposted without context.
  • Leave a gap. Content that is a hundred percent finished gives no one anything to add.

Then build the distribution into the idea

The strongest campaigns we have run were designed with the sharing surface in mind from the first sketch — a format that fits Stories, a moment that photographs well, a line short enough to become a caption. Distribution is not a phase that happens after creative. It is a creative constraint.
